Training for Tour Guides

We are convinced of the importance of continuing education for both young people and youth professionals. This is reflected in our training programs, which are delivered through participatory and non-formal activities, as well as through the exchange of best practices with our volunteers and partners.

With this in mind, we want to develop the facilitation skills of 120 young facilitators/guides in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Through the projects we have already carried out, we have seen a great deal of interest among many young people in being trained in facilitation attitudes and methods, as well as in content related to capitalism. These young people will be able to put this training to good use when responding to various requests for activities for the non-profit organization. Whereas in the past we trained guides for an exhibition, we will now transition to training facilitators who can work in schools, lead workshops, accompany groups on exhibition tours, etc.

Our trainers become true ambassadors for the Museum of Capitalism, capable of getting involved in existing projects and participating independently and actively in the design and development of new projects for our organization. In addition, each new facilitator is likely to share their experiences, network, and aspirations with other volunteers active within the organization, thereby increasing our ability to meet the expectations of our volunteers, partners, and audiences.
